In 2020, a few women and girls gathered to plan a weekend getaway to escape the current stressors in our lives. In addition to the obstacles that women face every day, the effects of the pandemic were overwhelming. During that weekend, women could vent and voice concerns in many areas. We cooked together, participated in activities focused on relieving stress, laughed, and even cried. By the end of the weekend, we were all feeling refreshed!

Since 2020, we have been privileged to serve women and girls in the southeastern region. While limited by COVID-19 safety restrictions, Sisters With Love Worldwide provided meaningful experiences to support women and girls during the pandemic. Women actively participated in empowering group sessions and benefited from group sharing. After each event, we provided information on how to obtain positive progression. This was planned to assist with relieving pandemic stress, grief, and depression while providing safe spaces to address other personal issues relating to women. We also hosted a mental health session that focused on the benefits of meditation and journaling. After receiving positive feedback from our survey, we purposed in my heart to empower more women and girls by expanding our reach in diverse ways.

We are extremely fortunate to serve our community with board members capable of addressing our participants’ needs. With your support, we will continue to be able to provide uplifting experiences, empowering moments, financial relief, and emotional support to families within our community.
